El Jaish achieved a huge win over the Austrian side LASK Linz by five goals to nil in their first friendly during their overseas training camp in Austria ahead of the new Qatar Stars League season. With this result the French Head Coach Sabri Lamouchi said there were many positives to be taken especially with the new signings of Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah and Rashidov. Also Lamouchi fielded a number of young players for the very first time such as Al Muataz Bellah, Jassim Shnin and Rashed Al Hajri.
The first half ended in a goalless draw; while during the second half saw El Jaish able to score five goals with Wagner the first to get on the scoresheet in the 59th minute. Then Mohamed Jedo added another on the 66th minute, followed by new signing Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah who got two goals on the 72nd and 85th. Finally Wagner got his second on the 89th minute to cap off a great night for the Soldiers.
El Jaish will now play their second friendly on Saturday the 8th of August versus Hellas Verona, while the third friendly will be against Udinese Calcio.
In addition Ali Sanad Al Nuaimi joined El Jaish after returning from the USA where his daughter was undergoing treatment.
Al Nuaimi was given a special training regime by Head Coach Lamouchi as the player has been away from the team for some time and will need to get match fit as soon as possible.
