El Jaish Sports Club has announced on their official website that they have signed Uzbek Sardor Rashidov; the forward was a former player of top Uzbek side FC Bunyodkor. Rashidov has signed for three seasons and is one of El Jaish’s new foreign players as according to the QFA’s 3 plus 1 rule.<br />

After passing a medical, Rashidov signed his contract in front of Head of Football, Youssef Dasmal Al-Kuwari. He becomes the first signing for the Soldiers as they look to try and win their first ever QSL Shield.<br />

Head of Football Youssef Dasmal expressed his satisfaction with the new striker and said, "He is a player that knows the way to goal and Head Coach Sabri Lamouchi is sure of his abilities."<br />

It is believed that a number of teams where in the hunt for the Uzbek’s signature but he eventually settled on signing with the Qatari outfit.<br />

The club has said that they will introduce the player to the local media at press conference which will take place soon.<br />

El Jaish finished third in last season’s edition of the Qatar Stars League.
