El Jaish Sports Club has announced on their official website that they have signed Uzbek Sardor Rashidov; the forward was a former player of top Uzbek side FC Bunyodkor. Rashidov has signed for three seasons and is one of El Jaish’s new foreign players as according to the QFA’s 3 plus 1 rule.
 
After passing a medical, Rashidov signed his contract in front of Head of Football, Youssef Dasmal Al-Kuwari. He becomes the first signing for the Soldiers as they look to try and win their first ever QSL Shield.
 
Head of Football Youssef Dasmal expressed his satisfaction with the new striker and said, "He is a player that knows the way to goal and Head Coach Sabri Lamouchi is sure of his abilities."
 
It is believed that a number of teams where in the hunt for the Uzbek’s signature but he eventually settled on signing with the Qatari outfit.
 
The club has said that they will introduce the player to the local media at press conference which will take place soon.
 
El Jaish finished third in last season’s edition of the Qatar Stars League.
