Umm Salal has given permission for their Egyptian defensive midfielder Ahmed Fathy to join up with his national teammates one week early.
The permission was granted so that the Umm Salal midfielder could prepare properly for the international match between Egypt and Senegal which will be held this Saturday 15th of November for the African Cup qualifiers.
The head coach Shawky Gharib said he was very pleased with Umm Salal’s decision to give permission to the player to join up with his national teammates and that he especially wanted to thank HE Sheikh Faisal bin Ahmed Al Thani.
Chelsea’s Mohammed Saleh, Hull City’s Ahmed Al Mohamadi and also Mohammed Enini from Basel Switzerland were all refused early leave to join up with the Egyptian national team.
