The Congolese forward Firmin Ndombe Mubele, who used to play for Vita Club has arrived into Doha last Friday to join Al Ahli Sports Club for the coming season.

Al Ahli Sports Club Media Officer Aissa Al-Malki and football team official Abdullah Al-Emadi welcomed the player in Hamad International Airport.

It is anticipated that Mubele will undergo a medical at Aspetar Hospital tomorrow Sunday before officially signing his contract.

It is hoped that Mubele can replace fellow Congolese striker Alain Dioko, who transferred across to town to Al Gharafa at the beginning of this month. However Mubele will have big shoes to fill as Dioko was top goal scorer in Qatar Stars League for two consecutive seasons.

The 21 year old forward was named in the 2014 African Nations Championship squad and played in four games.
