Al Sadd’s Qatari international defender Abdelkarim Hassan shared his views on his side’s momentous comeback in the Qatari Classico, as the Wolves grabbed two goals in the final two minutes to share the spoils with the QSL champions Al Rayyan in an engrossing 2-2 draw.
“Personally I am not happy with the result; I had two good chances to score in the second half and missed “revealed the 22 year old defender.
Speaking about the tense encounter Hassan revealed they were shocked how Al Rayyan came out in the second half, scoring within ten minutes of the restart. “Al Rayyan took us by surprise, but we fought back well to get into the tie. The red card for Victor Caseres helped us more.”
Hassan also had some words on Mohammed Kasola, who had received some criticism on social media ahead of the crunch clash. “Before the game many people had things to say about Mohammed Kasola, but he proved them wrong with his goal tonight. I am proud of the goal he scored and he helped us get back into the game.”
Al Sadd will now begin preparations for their final game of the QSL season when they take on El Jaish on Friday the 15th of April at Qatar SC stadium, in now what will be a straight shoot-out for the second place in the QSL standings.
