 Al Gharafa sports club have unveiled new coach Pedro Caixinha this morning. The former Santos Laguna coach has signed an 18 month deal with the side, who are currently 10<sup>th</sup> place in the Qatar Stars League.<br />

Speaking to the media, the Portuguese tactician was eager to bring stability to the side that has had three head coaches in the last year.<br />

“I have been brought to the club to bring stability to this club. Right now, they are not in the best position, I hope to improve the fortunes of the side starting straight away.” Gharafa are winless in five QSL games.  <br />
<br />
Caixinha is no stranger to the middle east, having two separate stints in Saudi Arabia as an assistant coach, first with club side Al Hilial between 2006/2007 and then with the Saudi national team between 2009/2010.<br />

Speaking of the squad at his disposal, Caixinha was sure that he had quality available to turn the fortunes of the side. “I am confident with what I have, that Gharafa can be stable in the league. I need to find out the best combination from the players I have in the team.”<br />

Looking to round 15, Gharafa have the chance to pick up some points when they face  basement side Meisameer on Saturday the 2<sup>nd</sup> of January at Al Wakrah stadium KO at 18:45.<br />
