Bulent Uygun, the Umm Salal coach, said on Thursday his team is determined to pick up a win against Al Sailiyah in a round 19 Qatar Stars League (QSL) clash on Friday.
 
“I still lay emphasis on our objective which is that we want to finish in the top four teams but we need positive results in order to achieve that. Al Sailiyah is a strong team. However, we are determined to gain the three points,"Uygun said on Thursday.
 
“We will do our best in all the remaining games and I reiterate our ambition is to be among the top four teams.
 
"We also have another objective which is to go further in the Emir Cup. Our team is ready for the match and we have no injuries. All the teams are more or less close performance-wise with the exception for Al Rayyan,” Uygun said.
 
Umm Salal's Omar Yahya said: “Our team has prepared with high intensity with the ambition of overcoming Al Sailiyah. We will try to compensate for our loss to Al Wakra in the previous round.”
 




Al Sailiyah head coach Sami Tarabelsi said: “We have entered the final rounds of the league race this season and consequently all matches are very important. My team is ready for Umm Salal game. We hope to get a a positive result.”
 
Tarabelsi added: “We lost to Al Wakra in the previous round, a defeat that I never wished for. We are playing for the win against Umm Salal.
Umm Salal is like all the other teams and we are capable of achieving positive result.”
 
He continued: “We have lost the services of striker Abdel Qader Elias.
Today he is representing Umm Salal and it is so unfortunate when you improve as a player and then to lose him.”
 
Tarabelsi confirmed he is set to reach a new agreement with Al Sailitah.
 
“We will agree to a three-year contract. I didn’t ask for any impossible requirements. We can support the team with some quality players who will help the team enter the top four,” he said.
 
Al Sailiyah's Mahmoud Attiya said: “The match will be tough for both sides. The most important thing is the three points. We are technical and physically ready for the match.”
