QSL online caught up with Al Gharafa’s latest signing Krisztian Nemeth to discuss his new life in Qatar following his move from Major League soccer, along with thoughts on his sides upcoming game with Al Sadd.
How have you prepared for the upcoming Al Sadd match?
We had one week of hard training ahead of the match. The team in good spirits and we are ready for this important match for our side.
What are Al Gharafa’s strengths going into this match?
I think that Gharafa have started playing more as a team. We have a good togetherness in recent week, and I think we will need this if we are to beat a team like Al Sadd.
What do you think of the battle between the Sadd defense & Gharafa attack?
I cannot really speak about Al Sadd’s defense. However, we have been in good form in attack in recent weeks, we will be looking to score on Monday evening.
Who is the biggest threat in the Al Sadd side?
It has to be Xavi for me. He is an experienced professional and is crucial in deciding the pace of the Al Sadd side.
Do you think that Al Gharafa could be pulled into a relegation fight seeing as they are 8th in the table?
We are not thinking about such things, we are only looking up the table.
What are your promises to Al Gharafa supporters?
For myself I will do my very best to benefit of the team. I don’t like making promises; I rather let me talking show on the pitch. Right now I will do my best for the team on Monday.
Did you fully adapt to the team?
Day by day, I am getting used to the atmosphere here. Now I am focusing on working hard with my team mates to reach my best form.
Are your team capable of winning a title this season?
This is our objective and we are also well aware that this requires extra efforts in each and every game and to be in our best condition. Winning a title is the best thing ever for any player.
What do you think of the atmosphere in Qatar Stars League?
The passonate fans, enjoy good football with plenty of goals. More importantly the league is growing, with better players joining year on year.
