Opening up the interview, Shehab has a word on the relegation battle for his side. “ It’s been a fierce competition this season in the QSL especially with more teams getting relegated this season, the battle for survival will run till the very end of the season.”
“At the top of the table, the title fight is between Lekhwiya and Al Sadd. It will also be a tough battle but Lekhwiya have the upper hand now, especially knowing that if they win their final games the title will belong to them” noted Shehab when asked about the title shakeup.
Relecting on his own sides performances the young midfielder added; “Muaither has had a tough season. Both the head coach and the Club Management have worked very hard in order to see the team survive relegation. We have missed several points which made things tough for us.
“I think the side needs more experience and patience as the team we have a small squad at Muaither and that has certainly restricted our chances in the league. However we will learn from this tough season” explained the on-loan Al Gharafa player on Muaither’s weaknesses this season.
Shehab ended the interview with a word on his future; “ My contract will end by the end of the current season. I feel comfortable with the team and I only focus with my team and remaining league and Emir Cup fixtures.”
