Hassan Al Mulla confident Ahli can finish in the top 4 places

Al Ahli Sports Cub Vice President Hassan Al Mulla believes that his side can compete for the top four places this team and be well away from the QSL relegation zone. Al Mulla gave his first interview with QSL online since elected as Al Ahli’s Club Vice Chairman.

Looking at the opening games of the season and Mulla is pleased by the early progress of Al Ahli.  “We have played well and such good results and performance are an early indicator that Al Ahli can make the top four, despite the tough competition.”

Al Mulla revealed the reasons that urged AL Ahli to contract with new professional players such as the Bahraini defender Sayed Adnan: “There was some fear from the side of the Club fans and affiliates because of signing in Sayed Adnan. However, the player proved that he still capable of performing well due to his massive experience. He will be an asset for this side.”

Al Mulla also reflected on contracting with the Ivorian player Yasso for five years and said: “He is such a young player with only 22 years of age. He is the top goal scorer in his country. His future will be prosperous after adapting to the team and the players.”

He continued that the African players at Al Ahli require some time to adapt to the new team and said: “When we contracted with the Congolese striker Alain Dioko and he scored only 8 goals then he became the QSL top goal scorer for two seasons.”

Al Mulla also reflected on their other Congolese striker Mubele: “Also our new striker Mubele who joined the team in the previous season and was criticized a lot. However, he proved his potentials by the end of the season as well as the beginning of the current season with two goals in both matches.”

Commenting on the excellent performance by Meshaal Abdulla, he said: “Meshaal is a fantastic player and he finished the previous season as the third top goal scorer.”

Al Ahli will take on Al Wakrah from the third round of QSL action resumes on Saturday the 15th of October
