Brigadiers new recruit aiming to upset Al Rayyan

Al Ahli striker Ali Ferydoon will be aiming to fire his side to glory when they take on Al Rayyan in the QSL match of the week for round 18. The brigadiers new recruit from Al Shamal gave an exclusive interview to QSL online ahead of the match on Friday evening at Al Ahli stadium. 

Ferydoon opened up the interview noting that match will be a real challenge for his Al Ahli side “It will be a tough game against the current league champions in Al Rayyan as they have also been doing well in the league. However we have huge confidence at the moment on the run we are on in the league and we will be looking to cause an upset.” 

“Al Ahli will continue to march on in the league and try and reach our target of a top four finish, this is our aim and we will do our best to achieve this” added the striker when asked about Al Ahli’s top four ambitions.

The former Al Shamal striker was recruited in January and has made an immediate impact for his side scoring twice already, and Ferydoon was quick to praise the harmony in the Al Ahli camp. “Everything has been going well and the relationship between the management, technical staff and players is good. That along with the signing of new players from the club management has boosted the confidence in the club.”

“I thank god for my performances and the moment,  but I also have to thank the staff and club management and teammates who showed plenty of faith in me and given me the confidence to play well” added Al Ahli’s number seven. 

Ferydoon concluded by speaking about his ambitions with Al Ahli: “I have huge ambitions with Al Ahli. We are looking forward to be among the top four. Also my ambition is to win the Emir Cup title with Al Ahli. The team has the potential to compete for such a prestigious trophy.”
