QSL online chatted with Lekhwiya’s latest signing, Congolese striker  Alain Dioko ahead of his sides match of the week against Al Arabi.

Are you looking forward to your match with Al Arabi?

Yes I am, I respect all teams we play in the QSL.  Arabi are well organized team and have some quality players but I think Lekhwiya can push them for the victory.

Did you expect the recent loss to Al Sailiya?

Of course not, but this is football and anything can happen. The most important thing is to overcome the defeat and focus on positive results and victories. I am expecting that we can return to winning ways.

How do you feel after moving to Lekhwiya in the transfer Window?

I feel good, the opportunity came and I felt I had to take it. I have been welcomed immediately and I already feel that I am part of the family.

What is the difference between Al Ahli, Al Gharafa and Lekhwiya?

You cannot compare all three teams really, but for me it’s is a huge honor representing Lekhwiya. They are constantly challenging for trophies, which is important for me in my career.

You where top scorer last season, but this year you only have 6 goals, what has happened?

When I joined Al Gharafa at the beginning of this season, things were new and different from Al Ahli who I represented for three seasons. I didn’t have enough time to practice and adapt with the team. The season hasn’t ended yet and now I am in Lekhwiya, with a great chance to score more goals and add to my current tally.

Who do you think will be the top goal scorer?
Rodrigo Tabata has a huge opportunity to become the top goal scorer as he scored already 17 goals so far this season. Also Lekhwiya has Yuseff Msakni with 13 goals, he still has plenty of time to catch up, anything could happen.
