Al Khor chief targeting top four after impressive start to season

Al Khor Sports club CEO Abdulla Al Mohannadi has praised the work of his side and their performance in the Qatar Stars League so far. Al Mohannadi gave an exclusive interview to QSL online ahead of his sides round seven clash against Muaither, which will take place on Thursday evening at Al Gharafa stadium.

Al Mohannadi opened up the conversation praising the efforts of the side: “The Club Board chaired by Mr. Hassan Jumaa Al Mohannadi and the club are working well together with one goal. We hope to continue with the same performance and results in the QSL.”

“Thank God, we have played well in the first games of the season.  We have showed quality in our performances and stability with the players, technical staff and officials at the club.  With the league cutting down to twelve teams Al Khor needed to start well and I believe we have done that so far” explained the Al Khor CEO.

Despite the strong start to the season Al Mohannadi has warned that Al Khor will have to maintain their form in order to beat the drop. “It is still very early in the league campaign and we have to win as much game as possible. Still it is a difficult task, but not impossible. We have faith in our squad to reach our goals."

Al Mohannadi also had some words on Al Khor’s French head coach Jean Fernandez by saying: “I believe he is the best head coach in the league over the last two seasons. He is preforming well with the squad that he has and he is constantly developing and improving the players’ performance.”

Al Mohannadi ended the interview stating his sides ambitions for the season ahead; “Our objective is to push on from a mid-table finish, our desire is to reach the Qatar Cup places and that can be achived if everyone can work hard in the club, just like we have from the opening games of the QSL season. “
