Al Gahrafa youngster aiming to push his side on in final games of the season

Abdulghani Muneer has enjoyed a fine first full season with Al Gharafa, regularly producing standout performances on the right wing for his side. The 24 year old gave an exclusive interview with QSL online to talk about Gharafa’s ambitions from the remainder of the season, along with the number of youth prospects breaking through at the Cheetahs. 

Muneer opened up the interview with a word on a string of youth players that have been introduced to the Al Gharafa first team set-up over the course of the campaign. “It’s been positive to have new talent in the squad. This will benefit the side in the future, I feel that the club management have done well in introducing players at the right time in certain games in order to fully integrate the players into the side.”

“Every side is aiming to improve their standings in league, and Al Gharafa is exactly the same. At times this season we were amongst the top four places in the league” added the winger when asked about his side’s standings in the league.

Whilst the Qatar youth team international vowed better performances from the Cheetahs; “Compared to previous season’s fifth place in the league is an improvement for us, however we have great ambitions at Al Gharafa. We promise to our fans that we are aiming for a better team, better results and better performance in the future.”

Muneer concluded the interview stressing that he is constantly aiming to build on his performance for his team. “Every player is looking to get better and improve. The more games I play, the more I feel that I am getting better both physically and technically. This is what I am stressing for in my own career.”
