Yesterday evening saw Djamel Belmadi supervise his first training session as head coach of Lekhwiya Sports Club, a team he has already coached once before.The training session was conducted with just 11 players as many players have yet to return from injury or their annual leave.
Belmadi has just recently taken over from former legendary player Michael Laudrup, the Dane guided them to their 4th QSL Shield as well winning the Qatar Cup and qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League.
Next week will see a number of players returning to the Red Knights, with many of the foreign stars returning two weeks later.
