Yesterday evening saw Djamel Belmadi supervise his first training session as head coach of Lekhwiya Sports Club, a team he has already coached once before.<br />

The training session was conducted with just 11 players as many players have yet to return from injury or their annual leave.<br />
 <br />
Belmadi has just recently taken over from former legendary player Michael Laudrup, the Dane guided them to their 4^th QSL Shield as well winning the Qatar Cup and qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League.<br />
 <br />
Next week will see a number of players returning to the Red Knights, with many of the foreign stars returning two weeks later.
