The Congolese striker Alain Dioko expressed his gratitude and satisfaction in joining Al Gharafa Sports Club, adding that he had considered a move to the Cheetahs for a long time.<br />

Dioko said in statement on the club’s website, “I feel settled now at Al Gharafa, I feel a part of the Club from the very first day, I hope to benefit my new team in any way I can.”<br />

He added, "I would like to thank Al Gharafa officials and in particular Sheikh Hamad Bin Thamer Al Thani, the Club President and Sheikh Abdel Aziz Bin Jassim Al Thani, a member of the board and the Football Supervisors as well as all the board members.”
