Match kick off 18:00, Sun 15th at the Al Shamal Stadium

Al Shamal coach Dragan Cvetković
“The loss in our previous match against Qatar SC was difficult to accept. I accept that our players committed a few mistakes towards the end of the match but we conceded the goal in the 95th minute when the additional time was only three minutes. We are very disappointed and angry about this. There was a long silence inside the dressing room after the match. But now this is another match. It's the last game in our stadium, in front of our supporters. We must give a performance of the highest level and stop this run of unlucky results.”

“We want to win this match for all the people who have been supporting the club. We know that if we want to win against Khor, we have to stop their key players, especially their Brazilian players. It's one of the points which we will work on during training and also during the game.”

“Maybe my players need to watch some high level games to know how to play in the last few minutes. For example in the game between Chelsea and PSG, the Chelsea players just kicked the ball out of play in the closing minutes of the match. But that didn't happen with our players. But we have to unlearn the experience from this match. Also we have to remember that this is the first experience of the QSL for most of our players. Every day we experience a different situation and we are learning from it. After our last loss, the players spoke to me and said that we should try again and again until we win.”

“In most of our matches, the margin of defeat has rarely been more than one. So we are close to our opponents in terms of the level of play but we are very far away from them in terms of points. When I arrived I encouraged my players to give their maximum. They have done that but until now we haven't been able to see the results. But we will continue to give our maximum.”

Al Khor coach Lazlo Boloni
“Shamal are still looking for their first win. We cannot say it's a last chance but they play each of their games like that.”

“I don't know exactly why Shamal are in last place. They could have a few problems in defence or maybe in offence. But they definitely don't have a problem in the mentality of the players. In the last two games, they have played with a lot of positive energy and that is a good thing for me. If you look at their results, you can see that they have lost their games by a very small margin. I know that to win against them we have to be at our best psychologically speaking.”
