Silvio Delberto  the Al-Shamal head coach  pointed out the importance of the match against Al Kharaitiyat in round 14 of Qatar Stars League. He indicated that the importance of the match lies in the fact that it is the first match of the second phase.

He hoped that Al Shamal would win for the first time in the league. He said that Al-Shamal is looking for the win during the coming two matches in order to improve its ranking in the league table. 

He added: “We demonstrated good performance during our recent game against Al-Sadd and we proved that we can achieve positive results, as for what we are missing so far, well I think we need to gain our first win and have some luck. We are playing to achieve the win during our match against Al Kharaitiyat as well as the following match, because our aim is to win before the stoppage period in the QSL.”

He said that Al Kharaitiyat is coming from an important draw against El Jaish, indicating that their focus is on this game and then he will think about the round 15 fixture against Al-Wakrah. 

He said that the stoppage period is very important for his team to allow for the recovery of the injured players and contract new comers during the winter transfer window.
