It was a clash between bottom of the table Al Shamal against second from bottom Al Shahania in the round 12 clash.  The game was always going to be a tight and nervy affair as both teams looked to this match to finally get some vital points.

Shahania had just changed coaches prior to this game and the Oryxes were the first to register a goal.

In the second half Masoud Shojaei scored in the 51st minute and gave his side a vital boost in a match that looked to be ending goalless.

Shamal finally woke up and started to take control of the possession.

Dagano who has yet to score for his new team, set up the goal for Ali Mejbel. The cross came in from the left and Mejbel was unmarked in the box and with a simple header that saved the day for the team from the north.

The referee blew for full time as both sides had to settle for a point. The result leaves both teams where they were. Al Shamal is still at the bottom of the table with just 4 points and Shahania are second from bottom with 6 points in the Qatar Stars League.
