Al Sailiya's Bahraini import Faouzi Aiesh on Monday said his team has the ability to overcome the odds in games like the one against Al Rayyan, saying his team mates are ready for an 'exciting battle'.
 
Al Sailiyah take on Al Rayyan in a round 14 clash on Monday at Al Gharafa Stadium.
 
In an interview to Qatar Stars League (QSL) website, he said: "Al Sailiya can continue its fine run if we play with dedication and discipline."
 
Your impressions about the game versus Al Rayyan?
Answer: Definitely it is a very important game which will be a huge task taking into consideration that Al Rayyan is on top of the QSL table and the best performing team so far. As I said it is an important match. We are seeking to redeem ourselves after the big defeat we suffered in the very first match of this season by four goals.
 




Is Al Sailiya capable of keeping up with the good results?
Answer: Yes, Al Sailiya is capable of keeping up with the good results and we can collect more points with the ambition of being among the top four teams in QSL. Now that we have managed a few key wins in recent weeks, we want to go all the way.
 
Al Rayyan have defeated you in the first leg of the QSL. Will you be able take revenge?
Answer: Actually the defeat we suffered in the first leg wasn’t expected. I believe Al Sailiya wasn’t in good form then in football when you don't play well, you lose. Besides Al Rayyan deserved to win.
 
Does Al Rayyan have the edge going into this match?
Answer: Al Rayyan vs Al Sailiyah games have a special feeling. It is always full of surprises and you can't predict the outcome. However, there is determination in our camp to get a good result. We have faced big teams before and were able to defeat them.
 
What is your ambition this season?
Answer: The team's ambition is to be among the top four teams and compete for a title either Qatar Cup or Emir Cup. My personal ambition is to demonstrate my best performance with the team and help them in achieving our objectives.
 
What is the reason behind your good form recently?
Answer: The concentration is the key. I enter each and every game with intensive concentration in order to maintain my physical and technical level. Also I seek to help my teammates in winning and collecting points in order to reach the top of the league table. I also feel satisfied with Al Sailliya and the technical staff led by coach Sami Trabelsi.
