Match kick-off at 18:00 Fri, 6th at the Saoud Abdulrahman stadium

Al Sailiya head coach Sami Trabelsi:
“We still have seven games left. All the games are very important. We tried during the preparation to up the morale of the team and to help them forget the loss. As for Shamal, I think the team is suffering not because of these recent games but because of the initial results. The team is doing well now. They are not an easy team to play against. They are very dangerous when they attack on the counter.”

“I think that most teams don't have stable results except for Lekhwiya and Sadd who are guaranteed the top two spots in the table. But the other teams haven't gotten that kind of dominance and so every position in the table is open.”

“I think that our confidence has gone down. The last game is not a good reflection of our team. There are quite a few differences between us and Jaish. It's not acceptable to lose but when you see the game, you see that we don't have the same quality of players as Jaish. But having said that, I think all the players tried to do their best and give it their all. Sure, we don't have big quality players but we have a big heart and more determination to win again.”

“They have three good strikers and they create a lot of problems for every team. But they don’t have complete harmony in their defense. We will try to take advantage of that and win the match. We need these points badly."

Al Shamal coach Dragan Cvetković:
“Everybody knows our situation. But everybody must also know what my team is not disheartened. In our previous few games, my team has been playing with a lot of intent but is not able to convert the opportunities.”

“Something must change for my team. We have a lot of chances but we don't score and the opposition gets one chance and they score. This has to stop. We always give our maximum in every game. It's like that since I have been coach.”

“Sometimes we lose confidence in the last minutes of the game. We come under pressure and end up conceding and losing the game. We often hurry when we should have taken our time. In this way we miss a lot of chances. We must believe in ourselves until the very end. Every day we practice our drills during training, analyse every game, analyse the opposition but that doesn't seem to be enough. We have to change that. Maybe we need to change our approach and try to score the opening goal. That could make things a bit better for us. Right now we are trying to defend at the start and when we concede then we end up chasing the game.”

“I like my players. I enjoy working with them. We must practice and practice - again and again - till we get it right, till we get that elusive win.”
