Al Sailiya Head Coach Sami Trabelsi said that matches between Al Khor and Al Sailiya are always exciting with a very competitive edge. “For us we have prepared well for this match after the recent defeat.”

He added, “We worked hard to prepare the team from a tactical perspective. The match is considered a bottle neck for both teams with 20 points each, the win will help us move forward, and put some points between us and the rest. I believe, with all due respect to Qatar Sports Club, that Al Sailiya deserved to gain six points in our two confrontations against them but that’s football, sometime you don’t get what you deserve.”

He added, “Talking about the big change between last season and the current one, just the results changed. There are teams with big comebacks such as Qatar, Al Gharafa and Umm Salal. Now our team is getting better and we have a fair number of Qatari players who have demonstrated good levels of performance.”

Regarding the new foreign defender: “Letting go of Ricardo Costa was upon his request due to some personal reasons. It was hard to find a European or Brazilian player during such short notice as the league will end in two months. So we contracted with a player from the Gulf region, he is Al Khaibari from Saudi Arabia.”



Al-Khor Romanian Head Coach Boloni said that his team’s match against Al Sailiya in round 17 of the Qatar Stars League is a tough one. He stated that Al Sailiya is a strong and good team with players of a distinguished nature. He assured everyone present at the press conference that Al Khor will do their best to gain the win and the three points.

He added, “We will focus on our team’s strong points, noting that Al Sailiya has a tough and effective midfield, therefore we have to exert more effort to dominate the game. I know for fact that victories bring more victories, but I am not delusional as I also know that there is no victory without a good performance. This is what the players should learn in order give their best in the match and achieve the win we are all looking for.”
