Al Sailiya Sports Club Head Coach Sami Trabelsi has started preparations for the new season; the pre-season training will start of the 5^th of July and will continue in Germany until the 3^rd of August. The Peregrines will play 4 friendly matches as they look to do better than their 11^th place finish last season.

Trabelsi added that the squad who will fly out to German will consist of 30 players.  He said that he still looking for 3 foreign new players to join the team early and try to not repeat last season’s experience which saw them sign deals very late. 

He said: “We are looking for three foreign players, the Bahraini Fawzi Ayesh is already signed and hails from Asia, so the rest of the signing can be from anywhere in the world.”

With regards to local players he added: “We are working on finalizing some other negotiations with local players. We have already signed Mahmoud Attiya and Ali Abdullah from Al Shahania."
