League leaders Al Sadd extended their lead over second-placed Lekhwiya by 3 points as they demolished Al Khor 4-1 at home on Thursday 30th of October.
Creative midfielder Rodrigo Tabata gave the Wolves an early lead, scoring in the 12th minute with a deflected long distance effort.
However William Junior Souza brought Al Khor back into the match when defender Ibrahim Majed Abdullmajed hesitated momentarily allowing the Brazilian forward to get in front of him and smash the ball into the top right corner in the 43rd minute.
The visitors’ joy was short-lived however, as Abdelkerem Hassan again put Al Sadd into the lead in the dying moments of the first-half (49’).
Al Sadd continued with their clinical display in the second-half as Tabata scored again in the 69th minute from close range and then the fourth goal crashed into the back of the net in the 75th from fellow midfielder Asad.
Al Sadd could have had a fifth goal but Hassan failed to score from the spot (85').
