The  Al-Sadd first team resumed training on Tuesday evening,  after their rest day following the 2-1 victory over Qatar SC in Round 5 of the Qatar Stars League. The win kept the team in second place in the league table, with 13 points and remaining undefeated in the QSL so far.
 
The team is now looking ahead to its next match, the Round 6 fixture against Al-Khor on Friday, the 23rd of October at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. The training session on Tuesday went well, with the players responding well. The coaching staff focused on a was a balance between technical and physical exercises, especially with Al Sadd facing a busy period of fixtures in the upcoming week.

 Head coach Hussein Amouta focussed on training with the ball in small zones, in addition to quick movement with continuous pressure on the opponent. Al Sadd also announced that stiker Muriqui will be absent for two weeks after picking a knock in his sides victory over Al Sadd. The Brazilain striker will be a major loss for the Wolves, who has so far scored six goals this season.
 
In other news, a trio of young  Al-Sadd players have joined up with the Qatar Olympic team which is currently preparing for the Gulf Games in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Ayoob Mashhoor, Nasser Ibrahim and Meshaal al-Shammari will leave the youth team to represent Qatar at the prestigious tournamnet.
