Al Sadd defeated Mesaimeer 3-2 in a friendly match played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday night in preparation for the upcoming Round 5 of the Qatar Stars League. After four rounds of the QSL, Al Sadd is currently in second place in the league table, the Wolves have 3 wins and a draw which translates into 10 points. Al Sadd will face Qatar SC next on October 18.

Al Sadd midfielder Khalfan opened the scoring on the night with a solo effort in the 37th minute. Just before the halftime whistle, Xavi Hernandez added a second with a fine free kick from just outside the box.

After the restart, Nadir Belhadj scored the third goal for Al Sadd in the 49th minute. In the 70th minute, most of the Al Sadd starting XI was replaced with other substitutes.

After that, Mesaimeer reduced the deficit through a Muhannad Adnan goal in the 85th minute before Saud Nasser added a second for them from the spot in the 90th minute.
