QSL outfit Al Sadd has confirmed the departure of Brazilian striker Muriqui from the club. The former Guangzhou Evergrande hit-man joined Sadd in the summer of 2014. With injuries limiting his playing time with the Wolves. However at the start of the 2015/2016 season he did start to play regularly, scoring eleven goals in fifteen QSL games.

The club has also announced that Algerian striker Baghdad Boundejah will now replace the departing Muriqui. Boundejah has been with the Wolves since the start of the season; however he was immediately loaned back to his former club Étoile du Sahel in Tunisia. Whilst with Étoile he helped them to lift the CAF confederations cup for the second time in their history.

Baghdad is expected to train with his team-mates this evening as Al Sadd ramp up their preparations ahead of their round 17 match against Al Ahli.
