QSL league leaders Al Rayyan started their preparations for the coming game against Mesaimeer in Round 17 of the Qatar Stars League.

Al Rayyan ed by the Uruguayan head coach Fossati granted the players one day rest following their crucial 2-0 win over Umm Salal in Round 16. The result now leaves the Lions top of the table 11 points clear of second place Lekhwiya.

Qatar U23 players Ahmed Alaa and Mohamed Alaa are expected to join back up with Al Rayyan in the next few days. Rayyan will be at full strength for their match against the QSL’s bottom side.
