Al Rayyan is to play in the Omani capital Muscat against Al Seeb in the semifinal of the GCC Club Championship. Al Rayyan will hope to get a positive result before the second leg on 19 May 2015 in Doha, Qatar.

Al-Seeb is currently suffering in the Omani League as the team is in the relegation zone.

Al-Rayyan qualified to the semifinal match after topping their group A ahead of Al-Taawon (KSA) and Al-Suwaiq (Oman), then they defeating Kazma (Kuwait) 2-1 in the quarter-final match.

Al Seeb qualified as runners-up in group B behind Al-Shabab (UAE) and ahead of Al-Arabi (Qatar), they then defeated Al-Jahraa (Kuwait) in the quarter-final match.
