QSL side Umm Salal have announced the signing of Syrian attacker Mahmoud Al Mawas from Bahrain based club Al-Muharraq SC. 

The striker has signed a pre contract agreement with the Orange Fortess and will join up with his new club on the 25th of December after the first leg of the QSL season finishes. Umm Salal are expecting Al Mawas to play in midfield for the side, and replace foreign player Tha'er Bawab. 

The 23 year old has enjoyed a host of clubs in the middle east, including several stints in Bahrain football. Al Mawas has also recently broken into the Syrian national team, and last scored in their 1-0 away victory in Russia 2018 World Cup qualification.
