El Jaish have put themselves in danger of losing their third spot after they could only manage a goalless draw against Al Khor.

Jaish are currently in third place and are now just one point ahead of Qatar SC who are in fourth place and scheduled to play bottom ranked Al Shamal next.

Before the match Jaish head coach Sabri Lamouchi said that if his team wanted to win, they should score from the chances that they create. This evening, they couldn’t be faulted for the chances they created, sadly for them though they continued to suffer from not being able to finish when it counted most.

In the match El Jaish had 18 attempts on goal and they even had five on target but they couldn’t find the back of the net. Jaish will be left ruing their chances as they will now have to depend on the results to see if they will still remain in 3rd after round 21 of QSL action.

The match wasn’t Jaishes all the way. After the final whistle, both teams had 50 per cent possession. Al Khor too had 14 attempts at goal with two on target. But just like their opponents, they too couldn’t find the back of the net.

Khor were coming from a 3-1 defeat to Al Gharafa and they will be satisfied with the draw against top opposition. This win sees them in ninth place in the table. They are however level on points with Sailiya (26) and one point ahead of Al Arabi in tenth place.

These set of substandard results now mean that Jaish will have to ensure that they take maximum points from their remaining games or they could even end up finishing outside the top 4.
