The home sides goal’s all came in the second half, in the space of half an hour as they destroyed any hope of a victory for the visitors.
The first goal was scored by Brazilian Domingos Dos Santos (50’) and that’s how it stayed until the 73rd minute when teammate Issiar Dia doubled their lead.
It was at this point that Shahania capitulated as they suffered a further two goals. First, from Mohammed Abdulraab Al Yazidi (77’) and then from Hasan Abdel Fattah on the 80th minute.
In the whole match Al Shahania had only three shots with all of them coming in the second half from close range but sadly for them they lacked the clinical edge to score.
The result was crucial for the Thunders who had fired previous coach Marchand and replaced him with Bosnian head coach Osim over the midseason break.
Kharaitiyat’s has now moved up to 11 as they overtake Al Wakrah who earned an import draw with Al Sadd (2-2).
