QSL league leaders Al Sadd have confirmed that young midfielder Salem Al-Hajri is set for a month spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury in his sides 3-1 victory over Al Wakrah two weeks ago.

The club confirmed that the 20-year old midfielder will undergo minor surgery on the injury at Aspertar hospital in the coming days, and is expected to recover in a months’ time. The news means that Salem could be in contention for his sides round 24 game against Al Rayyan, which is set to take place on Sunday the 2nd of April.

In other team news, Al Sadd began their preparations ahead of their round 22 clash against Al Khor on Friday evening. Wolves coach Jesaldo Ferriera gave his squad two days rest in the wake of their impressive 7-0 win over Al Arabi, a result which saw Sadd return to the top of the QSL standings on goal difference.
