QSL side Al Gharafa could be without captain Bilal Mohammed for up to three weeks, after the Qatar international defender suffered a knee injury in the opening game of the QSL season against Al Ahli.
ASPTER confirmed that the defender is set for a three week spell on the sidelines, in what will be worrying news for Al Gharafa head coach Pedro Caixinha. Bilal Mohammed is seen as one of the senior players in the Gharafa squad and his absence could be keenly felt by the Cheetahs.
In other news, Al Gharafa has confirmed a friendly match for Thursday the 6th of October against Saudi Arabian side Al Ittifaq. The tie promises to be a real test of Gharafa, as Ittifaq are currently riding high in second place in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.
Al Gharafa has yet to register any points in the QSL this term, and lost 5-4 to Lekhwiya in the second round of action.
