Al Gharafa Sports Club announced their new star striker Alain Dioko yesterday at an official club press conference. The QSL’s top goal scorer for two consecutive seasons will now play for the Cheetahs as of next season.

The signing ceremonies carried out in the presence of Al Gharafa Football Director Saoud Fath. The press conference was launched by Al-Gharafa Club Media Coordinator Taha Al-Muhaza who welcomed the media and then passed the floor to Saoud Fath who said that signing Dioko was a good move and that the Congolese will be a strong asset for the team.

He went on to say that the player is well-known for his goal-scoring abilities, in addition to the fact that he has sufficient experience in the Qatari league which was one of the main factors that motivated the club to sign him.

From his side Alain Dioko expressed his happiness at joining Al Gharafa, mentioning that Al-Gharafa remains one of the big teams in Qatari football and that he hopes to help the club to regain their top status.

Alain Dioko will be under contract for duration of three years. The former Al Ahli star scored 25 goals in 26 appearances last season.
