QSL side Al Gharafa introduced their latest winter signings Hungarian striker Kristian Nemeth & former El Jaish midfielder Thamer Jamal to the local media on Tuesday evening.

Speaking at the start of the conference head of football Saoud Fathi said “We are happy to bring these exceptional players to Al Gharafa. Kristian Nemeth he has been a key target for the club since the arrival of head coach Pedro Caixinia.”

New signing Kristian Nemeth revealed his joy at signing with the Cheetahs. “I am happy to be here, I have received a warm welcome from everyone so far, and I hope I can help the side on the football pitch.”

The former Sporting Kansas City man also revealed Gharafa was the Hungerian Internationals number 1 choice. “I had a number of offers when I decided to leave the MLS, but I preferred Al Gharafa from the very start.” Nemeth is set to wear the number 9 jersey for his new side.

 Midfielder Thamer Jamal expressed his satisfaction for joining Al Gharafa. “I am glad to have signed for Gharafa; my aim is to contribute to the team eventually achieving titles for the club.”

The former Umm Salal man also had praise for the current Gharafa squad. “Gharafa has a number of good quality players; there is huge determination from the squad to achieve the objectives set for the team.” Jamal has been handed the number 16 squad number for the Cheetahs.

Both Nemeth and Jamal where part of three deadline day deals by the Cheetahs, which also included the signing of Slovakian international Vladimir Weiss from current QSL champions Lekhwiya. All three players are in contention to make their debuts for Al Gharafa when they will take on Al Arabi in the QSL round  17 match of the week on Friday the 5th of Febuary at Gharafa stadium.
