QSL side Al Gharafa have been handed a major boost ahead of their fourth round match against Al Shahanaia on Thursday evening.

Last night the club confirmed that they received international clearance for deadline day signing Rashid Sumaila, meaning that the Ghanaian central defender is now free to play with the side. Sumaila was picked up from Kuwaiti side Qadsia.

The news means that Sumaila is likely to start for his new side in their Thursday evening match against newly promoted Al Shahania. The Cheetah’s grabbed their first points of the season last time out when they narrowly defeated Muaither 2-1.
