Al Arabi’s Mohamed Khalfani will return to Doha today from Germany after suffering a cruciate ligament tear during the club’s overseas preseason trip to Italy.

Medical tests and examinations confirmed the injury which will see him have a long rehabilitation period of up to six months.

The team will continue to train as usual and will play German side SpVgg Bayern Hof.
