Match kick off 18:00, Sun 15th at the Grand Hamad Stadium

Al Arabi head coach Jose Daniel Carreño
“The gap between us and Shahania is not too large. Both need points at this moment. Arabi is improving game by game, especially in defence. In this next fixture we will see the comeback of Khoukhi and maybe also Paulino. But it depends whether the medical staff clears them.”

“I cannot be happy and satisfied with how we have been playing in the last few games but we are definitely improving game by game - if we compare with how we have played before.”
“We have analysed their style of play and it was clear that they do better against strong teams. And so I believe that the game will be a balanced one for both teams and the chances will be about the same.”

“If I had come at the beginning of the season, then I could have been held responsible for the results of the team this season. Then I would have had a chance to select my players for example. When I came here the team had fitness problems and also some players who I hadn't chosen.”

“I think it's normal that the team is doing better now. The players know my style of coaching and know what I expect of them. also they have also become stronger in the mental aspect of the game.”

Al Shahania head coach Luka Bonačić
“Despite losing to Al Gharafa, we are ahead of Al Wakrah in the standings. We had a good performance against Gharafa. We fought for the victory but we didn't get it. But it will inspire us to do better. Arabi will be a tough game because they have strong and tall players. We have only one choice which is to play for the win and get three points. We hope that we will be a bit lucky in this game and get those three points.”

“Arabi play a bit different than other teams. They don't play with short passes. They look for long passes and crosses because they have tall players.”

“The schedule is tight but we are professionals. We are fighting with Wakrah to stay in the league and we are feeding off that energy to push ourselves to give our maximum during the matches. It won't be easy for us to stay in the league because we have tough games against Jaish and Lekhwiya still left. So we have to ensure that we take maximum points off every team we play now.”
