QSL side Al Sailiya are set to be without midfielder Othman Al-Aqib for at least six months as it was revealed that he ruptured his cruciate ligament in his sides 3-3 draw with Al Ahli.

Al Sailiya will now assess the injury later in the week, although it is expected that the young midfielder will undergo surgery on the injury at ASPETAR hospital. The news will come to a major blow to head coach Sami Trabelsi as Al-Aqib was a mainstay in midfield for the side.

In other news Al Sailiya revealed they are still assessing the fitness of attacker Faouzi Aaish ahead of their round nine match against Lekhiwya. Aaish has been injured for the last few weeks, and his return would be welcomed by Al Sailiya.
