Lekhwiya General Secretary Adnan Al Ali said on club’s official website that the difficulty of Lekhwiya’s upcoming fixture against Al Hilal away in the AFC Champions League quarter finals will be tough.

Lekhwiya will play the away match next Tuesday in Riyadh and will then host Al Hilal on the 15 September back in Doha.

Al Ali then spoke about the team’s preparations, "We had a strong and fruitful preseason, and we succeeded in preparing the players both physically and technically, with strong friendly matches played in Turkey as well as in Doha. This helped the coaching staff and the players to reach the best possible level ahead of the big confrontation against Al Hilal."

Al Ali added, "Lekhwiya will face a tough team in Al Hilal which has a strong pedigree and a great history in the Saudi league."

Al Ali continued, "Everyone saw the high level that Lekhwiya managed to end last season with, they won Qatar Stars League, Qatar cup and qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League, so we have a good chance to qualify for the semi-finals."
