KUALA LUMPUR: QSL champions Lekhwiya on Thursday were drawn with Saudi giants Al Nasr and Iranian side Zobahan in the AFC Champions League draw for the 2016 season. 
 
The fourth side in Group B will be decided from the play-off match between Bunyodkor (Uzbekistan) against Al Shabab (UAE).
 
Group A consists of Foolaz (Iran), Al Nasr (UAE), Lokomotive (Uzbekistan) and the winner from the play-off game between Al Ittihad (KSA) versus Al Wahdat (Jordan).
 
Group C comprises of Pakhtakor (Uzbekistan), Al Hilal (KSA), Tractor Tebriz (Iran) and the winner from the play-off match between Al Sadd (Qatar) versus Al Gazira (UAE).
 
Finally Group D has Al Ain (UAE), Nasaf (Uzbekistan), Al Ahli (KSA) and the winner from the play-off game between El Jaish (Qatar) against Naft Tehran (Iran).
 
AFC officials said Group stage fixtures will kick-off on February 23rd and 24th. 
 
Match day 2 is on the 1st and 2nd of March 2016, match day 3 on the 15th and 16th of March 2016,  match day 4 on the 5th and 6th April 2016, match day 5 on the 19th and 20th of April 2016, and the final match day 6 will be played on the 3rd and 4th of May 2016, with two teams from each group qualify to Round of 16.
 
Round of 16 fixtures will be played on home and away system, with the first leg on the 17th and 18th May 2016, while the second leg on the 24th and 25th of May 2016, AFC officials said on Thursday.
 
Teams that qualify to the quarterfinal round will play on the 13th and 15th of September 2016 and the second leg on the 20th and 21st of September 2016.
 
The semifinal round first leg will be played on the 18th and 19th of October 2016 while the second leg on the 25th and 26th October 2016.
 
The AFC Champions League 2016 final match will be played on the 19th of November 2016 for the first leg and on the 26th of November 2016.
