Gregory Gomis stars for Sailiya
Gregory Gomis turned out one of the best goalkeeping performances of the QSL season, as his side upset the odds in defeating Al Sadd 2-1. The French born stopper had an inspired second half, included a saved penalty and three last gasp saves at the end of the match. Al Sailiya will be hoping their good form will continue when they face fellow strugglers Al Khor in round 12.

No stopping record breaking Al Rayyan.
Al Rayyan continued winning ways in round 11 of the QSL, defeating Al Gharafa 2-0. Two goals either side of half-time ensured that Jorge Fosatti’s side have now enjoyed 11 wins in a row. Which is a record run for a side from the start of the QSL season, the Lions are now 10 points clear at the top of the league. Expect Al Rayyan to be at their confident best when they face Al Sadd in the Qatar Clasico.

Signs of improvement for Qatar Sports Club?
Qatar Sports Club perhaps pulled off the shock result of round 11 by defeating second place El Jaish 1-0. The Kings had suffered two big defeats in the previous rounds including a disastrous 9-0 defeat to Al Rayyan. However Sebastião Lazaroni’s side turned out an impressive defensive performance against Jaish, and rightly took all three points thanks to a Mousa Allaq goal in the 61st minute. They will be looking to build on this result against Al Gharafa in round 12.

Tough start for Ferreira
New Al Sadd coach Jesaldo Ferreira started his QSL career with a defeat, as the Wolves lost to Al Sailiya 2-1. The portugeese head coach cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines, especially in the second half with Sadd missing a host of good chances to equalize. The Wolves will be hoping for a change in fortunes when they face the run-away leaders of the QSL, in the round 12 Qatar Clasico.

Lekhwiya looking to the top 4
Lekhwiya where back to their best in round 11 of the QSL, easily defeating Al Wakrah 6-2. South Korean International Nam Tae Hee starred with a hat-trick for his side.  The Red Knights had been struggling as of late in the league however they now have a run of three straight victories. They are currently now in fifth place and only one point outside of the Qatar Cup places.
