Lusail coach Emanuel Mesquita spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Al Sailiya.

“Our preparations for the match have gone on well. The players are in high spirit and working exceptionally hard to secure a positive result against Al Sailiya.

“The match against Al Sailiya will be extremely challenging, far from the easy encounter some might imagine. Our opponents will be fighting to improve their standing in the league table, so we must be at our absolute best, both technically and physically, to claim the three points,” said Mesquita.

Lusail player Muhammad Taher said, “Our preparations for the Al Sailiya match are proceeding just as they do for any other league game. We have put the Al Duhail match behind us, our focus is now entirely on the upcoming clash with Al Sailiya, and we look forward to securing the three points, God-willing.”
