QSL side Al Wakrah has announced the signing of Uruguayan striker Pablo Olivera ahead of the start of the new QSL season.The former Leones de Negras attacker has signed a one year deal with the Blue Waves and is expected to join up with his new team mates at their training camp in Turkey. Wakrah head coach Mauricio Larriera had been on the lookout for a striker over the transfer window, following the departure of prolific goal scorer Sasha from the club.
In other news, Wakrah fell to their second defeat of preseason on Tuesday evening to a local Turkish side 1-0. The Blue Waves are expected to return to Doha on the 26th of August when they will begin to focus on their first QSL match of the season against El Jaish.
