QSL new boys Al Shahania fell to a 2-0 defeat to UAE Pro League side Al Wasl on Wednesday afternoon as the Oryx’s continue their preparations ahead of the new QSL season at their preseason training camp in Germany.

A brace from Wasl’s Brazillain striker Caio was enough to settle the tie.  Despite the defeat Shahania’s head coach Fathi Al-Jabal can draw plenty of positives from the match, as Shahania ramp up their fitness ahead of their first QSL game of the season against Al Rayyan.

Shahania are now set for a further four games of their German training camp. First up on the 16th of August, Shahania will face local side Rot Weiss Darmstadt and three days later the Oryx’s will take on Bundesliga third division side Mainz 05.

A further two games are slated for the 22nd and 25th of August, although the opponents have not been formally announced by the club.
