Al Kharaitiyat take on  the reigning QSL champions Al Rayyan in what promises to be a tough test for The Thunders, Tunisian coach Ahmad Al-Ajlani spoke to the local media ahead of the game.

Al-Ajlani  opened up the press conference stating his sides targets from the Saturday evening match.“Al Rayyan are doing well in the league. We have lost our last two games and we need a reaction, each point is important at the end of the season and we will be aiming to get at least a point from the game.”

Al Kharaitiyat’s coach also called for more fighting spirit from his side when reflecting on his sides 2-0 defeat to Al Khor. “Against Al Khor we lacked possession, lack of pressure a real lack of overall fighting spirit. We must give our best in every game even if we loose so it was disappointing not to see that when we played Al Khor.”

Al-Ajlani  ended the press conference noting that hard work is the only way his side can get out of the relegation zone.“Al Rayyan are the current champions they have to be respected but they does not stop us working hard and testing them. If we play to our strengths I am convinced we can trouble them.”

Third placed Al Rayyan head into their Saturday evening match against Al Kharaitiyat on a high following a comprehensive 4-1 win over El Jaish. Danish coach Michael Laudrup spoke to the media ahead of the match

Opening up the press conference Laudrup noted that his side does not have time to savour the Jaish victory.“We are in a busy moment, we don’t have one day to enjoy the win  against El Jaish and then we have to focus straight away on the win.”

Rayyan will be without the likes of Sergio Garcia and Rodrigo Tabata for the game, and Laudrup admitted that he is looking at a number of tactical tweeks for the team. “We have some key players out this week, so it will be a challenge for my side against Al Kharaitiyat. I am always thinking about options for us. We will have to see from the players that we have available for this game, but we could set up in a number of different ways.”

“The players who are not playing regularly have stepped up for in recent weeks and this has been important for us, and as a coach it is good to see that the players have played their part when it mattered” noted the Danish coach.

Laudrup ended the press conference hailing the progress his side has made during their winning run in the league. “Our biggest problems in this month is that we have missed many chances but we have scored eight goals in the last two games so that is a big step forward. When you create many chances it shows that we are working hard and things are moving in the right direction. We have also conceded the least amount of goals in the league which is good to know.”
