Bottom of the league Muaither head into their match with Al Sadd undefeated in two QSL games. Head coach Phillipe Birol spoke to the media ahead of the game. 

Birol opened up the press conference stressing that his side are improving all the time. “We know the quality of Al Sadd, I am focused on my team. We played well against Al Shahania and Al Gharafa and had chances to win the game. We are getting closer and closer in each match, I am confident that we can get the results that we want for the end of the season.”

“They are missing Bagdad Bounjah and Hassan Haydoos in attack, which is a positive for us. The first match against Al Sadd, we conceded two early goals and we need to start at full concentration for this game” added the French coach. 

Birol ended the press conference stressing the need of being positive with his players. “I am a positive person, you cannot be going into being negative especially in the position that we are in at the moment. I am responsible for the team, I want my players to give my best for Muaither, for themselves and their family. When we loose, I take the responsibility not my players.”



As for Al Sadd they come into the match in the unique position of losing their first match of the season against Lekhwiya. Wolves Jesaldo Ferriera spoke to the media ahead of the game. 

Opening up the press conference the Portugeese coach insisted that his side have to be at full concentration for the test of Muaither “We have to be focused, last time we played a team in the relegation zone we dropped two points. I hope my players come into the game with their eyes open.”

“We should be careful, many people think Muaither it will be a easier game for me it won’t it will be a tough game. We need to win and hope that Lekhwiya will drop points” noted the Portugeese coach on Saturday morning. 

Ending the press conference Ferriera stressed that his side must focus now on getting back to winning ways. “They players feel what happened against Lekhwiya. The challenge now is to recover, the players are really feeling the errors from this game we need to get back against Muaither.”
