Al Kharaitiyat take on Al Wakrah in round fifteen of the Qatar Stars League. The match will take place at the Al Khor stadium on Sunday.
Al Kharaitiyat are in the drop zone in the eleventh position. A win against Al Wakrah will help them get out of the relegation zone and improve their chances of survival in the QSL.
Ahmed Ajlani, the head coach of Kharaitiyat is finding the hectic schedule of the QSL difficult for his team, “It’s very hard to play many games in a short time. This week has many tough games so we need determination and discipline. We have some injured players like Anwar Diba and I hope they will be ready for the game.”
“Al Wakrah is improving with their new coach Kais Yâakoubi and they drew with El Jaish. But in this match anything is possible and we will go for the win,” added the Tunisian coach at the press conference on Saturday.
Speaking about the schedule, Ajlani added, “We are obliged to follow the schedule and teams who have more players and fewer injuries will have more chances of succeeding because of their quality players.”

Al Wakrah are second from bottom and are improving steadily as they drew 0-0 against El Jaish last week. The blue waves will be looking to continue this good form with a win against Kharaitiyat.
Kais Yâakoubi, the head coach of Al Wakrah, believes both teams are on a similar level, “Both teams are in the same position in terms of standings. They provided a great game against Al Sadd and We also had a good game against El Jaish. We both are Tunisian coaches and we know each other very well. It’s an important match but not crucial as we still have many games left in the season.”
“When you provide an excellent game against El Jaish, players have an excess of confidence. I hope we provide another good performance and all I want from my players is complete focus and concentration on the game,” added the Tunisian head coach at the press conference on Saturday.
Speaking about the upcoming game, Yâakoubi added, “It’s a game to be won not to be played. The most difficult games are between teams who have the same possibilities and same points. For us, the three points are the most important thing and we will fight for them.”
