El Jaish take on Al Sadd in round thirteen of the QSL. The match of the week will take place at the Al Sadd stadium on Thursday.

 El Jaish, after losing their last game against Al Gharafa are third in the table with twenty-eight points. The Soldiers will be looking to get the three points against the league leaders as they bid for their first ever QSL title.

 Sabri Lamouchi, the head coach of El Jaish was full of praise about his opponents, “Tomorrow is the last game before the break. It’s a tough game against a difficult team. Maybe the best team in the league, maybe this season's champions and maybe the best club in the country. However, we will try our best as we know the importance of this match.”

 “We lost two games, one against Lekhwiya and the other against Gharafa. My players never deserved to lose these games. I cannot complain about my players as they did a great job from the start until now. We don’t need to be disappointed as we were first for a long time but now we are third,” added the French tactician.

Speaking about his opponents, Lamouchi added, “They have the best attack also the best defence. We must play to our advantage and try to not give them a lot of space and a lot of chances. They have a lot of quality in the back, in the middle and in attack and they score many goals so tomorrow we will try to limit them.”





As for Al Sadd, they coming into their top of the table match up on fine form in the league, and went top for the first time this season after their 3-1 win over Al Wakrah. Wolves coach Jesualdo Ferreira spoke to the local media ahead of the game.

Opening up the press conference Ferreira was full of praise for El Jaish. “We will be facing a great team in El Jaish, who have lead the league for many weeks, they will be hungry to get back to the top and we must be carful against this side.”

The Portugeese coach was tight lipped on any injuries for his side, but stressed that his side have a deep enough squad to match the quality of El Jaish. “I will not tell you about the injuries we have at the moment, all I can say is that the replacements are more than ready to help our side in this important game.”

Ferreira  concluded that now top of the table his side must take a game by game mentality. “This is the last game of the year and to be top going to the new year will be our motivation. We must take our time and focus on each game as it comes.”
